Challenge template
Home workout challenge with friends: a practical agreement
Homes have different spaces, schedules and conditions. A shared challenge can respect those differences without prescribing identical workouts.
Start with a commitment each person can sustain
You do not need matching space or new equipment. Each person keeps their usual activity or the routine agreed with a qualified professional. The group decides how to share the commitment.
Separate coordination from exercise advice: agreeing when to log is different from deciding appropriate movements or intensity. This template addresses coordination.
Protect home schedules and privacy
Choose a logging method that works without mandatory video calls. Photos should be optional and should not reveal other people or private details of the home.
Agree whether messages arrive throughout the day or only at review time. People who share a home, need quiet or work rotating shifts can check in at another time.
Use one clear check-in rule
You can recognize one completed commitment per day against each person’s own goal. Define that unit before starting; splitting the same activity does not add another check-in.
Changed plans can lead to a pause or a new agreement. Planned rest is not treated as failure to participate.
A shared-week example
Two friends log at different times and a third shares only a summary. Everyone uses the same place to see their commitments without having to exercise simultaneously or show their home.
At the end, review whether logging was convenient and messages helped. The template does not add video calls, automatic exercise recognition or a special home-workout mode to Rally.
