30-day workout challenge with friends: calendar and rules
Thirty days can give a shared commitment a clear beginning and end. It does not mean exercising every day or following an identical routine.
Agree before day one
Each person chooses a commitment compatible with their usual routine. Set a common start date, define one check-in and agree on what information to share.
Decide whether you want encouragement alone or a shared recognition. Do not make weight change, appearance or a uniform workload a condition of participation.
A calendar with four reviews
Days 1 to 7: try the logging method and make sure everyone understands it. On day 7, clarify anything that was confusing.
During days 8 to 14 and 15 to 21, keep personal goals and review pauses or schedule changes. During days 22 to 30, close the period and decide what to repeat. Do not raise the workload merely because the end is near.
Rules you can use
- Each person keeps their own goal; the group does not prescribe a routine.
- Planned rest and agreed pauses belong in the calendar. Missed sessions do not become a debt.
- One check-in per day prevents double-counting a divided activity.
- Goals do not change retroactively. Apply adjustments to the next agreed period.
- On day 30, review participation and usability without requiring photos or personal details.
An example and a clear finish
A group starts on the same Monday. One person records two weekly commitments and another three. The 30-day calendar displays each person’s records without imposing an identical number.
This template does not create a 30-day league inside Rally. The app keeps its weekly leaderboard and points. Use the printable tracker for the whole period and the app’s actual features to share activity.
