Rally vs. Hevy: how to share your training
What does your group want to see when opening an app: a detailed routine, a friend’s activity or this week’s competition?
Publisher and scope
Published by the Rally team. Official sources reviewed on October 20, 2026. Product conditions can change. This is a description of public proposals, not an independent test, price comparison or quality ranking.
Rally’s starting point
Rally presents a weekly competition among friends. Logging workouts, earning points and viewing the group leaderboard are part of that flow.
For that agreement, each person needs to understand what to log and how scoring works. The weekly reset begins another period while historical progress follows its own path.
Hevy’s starting point
Hevy presents workout logging, routine creation and progress tracking. Its website also describes social functions: following people, viewing workouts, commenting and sharing routines.
If detailed logging and routines are your priority, test that flow in Hevy. We do not assume that every function described on the site is included identically across devices or plans.
Match the trial to your group’s goal
To share a routine, test how it is saved, how another person receives it and what they need to complete. For weekly competition, test the group result and the rules behind it.
Those are different use questions. Social activity does not mean every app organizes the same challenge. Read current conditions before assuming a specific function is included.
A short trial before choosing
Ask each participant to save one record and find another person’s activity. Then discuss which information helps them return during the week.
